Cycle times, partial payments, and reopen rates drawn so a claims manager can see which handlers and perils are holding the book open.
Settlement pace is the part of a book that a monthly paid-loss total conceals. This briefing is for claims managers who already know they are slow on water damage, or fast on windscreen, and need the pattern on paper before they change a handler’s load.
We chart time from first notice to first payment, time to closure, the share of files that reopen within ninety days, and the cluster of partial payments that never quite finish. Motor books in western Georgia often show a winter bulge; we separate that from a genuine stall. Property books after a wet season need the same care, or a one-year average will scold the wrong team.
The pack does not include a staffing plan. It does include the ten files whose dates look wrong enough to open by hand. If your listing has no first-notice date, we will say so at the start rather than guess from the underwriting year.
