Large-loss file walkthrough

Spend a day on the five or twelve files that dwarf the rest of the book, instead of averaging them into a single large-loss line.

On-site reading, Kutaisi · One or two days · Level 8, Kutaisi, with the paper files or a complete PDF set

A large-loss walkthrough is for the morning when the book looks calm until you open the five files that hold most of the outstanding. We sit with those files, not with the whole listing.

You leave with a short note on each file: what the papers actually support, where the reserve last moved and why, what is still missing (a medical report, a recovery letter, a second survey), and the question an underwriter is likely to ask. We do not rewrite the handler’s plan. We do say when a file has been quiet for too many months for the amount still showing.

This sitting is a poor fit if the “large losses” are only slightly above average cost — in that case a settlement-pattern briefing is the clearer piece of work. It is also the wrong sitting if you need us to visit the damaged property; we read the file you bring to Gamsakhurdia Street.
